"Richard Muirhead's tiny smokehouse in the grounds of Brougham Hall is a local treasure. Most of the ingredients come from within Cumbria. The smoked salmon is superb, some of the best I have tasted".

I didn't give you quite enough time, and I dare say Valentines being so close didn't help, but thanks for getting everything here in time and for the substitutes and extras that you put in. We had a beautiful meal on Friday night and after being out all day today I have just made a rather fine pizza using the pepperpot sausage"
